HARI classes on-line from 3/22/2020

Dear Parents,

In connection with COVID-19 concern, we closed school for two weeks. Now, I am sure you all must have heard that the RI Governor has imposed a ban on gatherings of 25 people or more and many additional guidelines issued by Federal and State governments. RIHTS has also decided to close the temple until March 31st. In this situation, we can’t have our regular classes. HARI executive committee has taken the decision to close the school until further notice. We will reopen when the situation will improve as per the State guidance.

We are going to start online classes using Google Classroom and Hangouts. This will be a big challenge for our volunteers but they have agreed to try their best. It will not be perfect but good to have kids in touch. All the parents have to cooperate and support to make this successful. All language classes are using What’s App for regular communication and they will share the detailed plan in those groups and culture classes will communicate through email like before or through Google classroom.

Parents Roles and responsibilities:

1) Each student must have a Gmail account to access Google Classroom and Hangouts for online classes.

2) Please make sure to give access to a computer, laptop or iPad to your child to attend the classes.

3) Spend at least 30 mins per week with your child to monitor the progress.

4) Be very active on What’s App and other online activities related to language and culture classes for your child.

The classes will run on the following schedule:

Trial run: 03/22/2020

Language classes: 10:30 am to 11:00 am
Culture classes: 11:00 am to 11:30 am

Classes every Sunday starting 03/29/2020:

Language classes: 10:30 am to 11:15 am
Break: 11:15 am to 11:30 am
Culture Classes: 11:30 to 12:15 pm

The weekly quiz will be posted every Tuesday.

If you have any questions or concern then please contact at 978-317-0162 (Brijesh Rai) or harividyabhavan@gmail.com.

Thank you!
