2023-24: 9/10-First day of School

Dear Students and Parents,

We hope you had a wonderful summer, and hope this email finds you in good health and eagerly anticipating the upcoming academic year. We are absolutely delighted to extend a warm welcome to all of you for the 2023-24 school session at HARI School. As we commence this new session, we want to convey our heartfelt greetings and provide you with essential information to ensure a seamless start to the school year. This year, we will be continuing with a hybrid model, much like the one we had last year. This means that the majority of classes will be conducted remotely via Zoom, while some classes and events will be held in person. Please mark your calendars and make sure to arrive on time for these in-person sessions as well as on remote classes.

We understand that most of you have already completed the registration process, and we sincerely appreciate your promptness. However, we are still awaiting registration fee payments from a few students. To ensure that all students are fully registered and can participate in the upcoming sessions, we kindly request these students to complete their registration by submitting the necessary fees as soon as possible.

First Day of School and Orientation: September 10, 2023 10 am to 12:30 pm

School Supplies: We will provide books and other school supplies on the orientation day (09/10/2023)

Registration Fee for 2023-24:

• $225 ($150 + $75) per year for the local hybrid mode, which is mandatory for all students living within a 50-mile radius. This additional $75 for the hybrid mode will cover the expenses of catered food at the Holi event and provide snacks for the children during in-person classes.
• $150 per year for remote students (those residing out of state or beyond the 50-mile radius).

Hari School cordially invites you all to the Annual Holi Celebration. Hari students are planning to put on a wonderful show and are ready to celebrate Holi. There will be some performances by our kids and some exciting games with prizes. Please join us to celebrate our language/culture and have fun.

The program will start at 11:30 am with the following schedule:

10:30 am – All Hari students report to the temple for practice.
11:30 am – 12:45 pm – Kids’ performance and Volunteer recognition.
12:45 pm – 1:00 pm – FIA – NE – India Corner.
1:00 pm to 1:45 pm – Lunch (Food catered by RASA, East Greenwich restaurant)
1:45 pm – Holi Color (Once we go out to play with colors, we are not allowed to return to the building).
2:30 pm to 3:00 pm – Cleanup.

2021-2022 Final Exam Outline

2021-2022 Academic Year’s Final Exam is on May 22nd.

Here is the outline for the exam for different classes.

Outline for Gomti 1 Final exam:

  1. Name of animal
  2. Name of birds
  3. Name of days of the week
  4. Recite any one poem- chanda gol or titli
  5. Hindi vowels (name anything starting from that vowel)
  6. Hindi consonants ( name anything starting from that consonant & recognize the consonant)

Outline for Gomti 2 Final exam:

  1. Read and write consonants ( क to ह)
  2. Words making ( page no.52) read and write
  3. Poem : मछली रानी( page no.55)
  4. Chitra katha conversation in hindi( page no.5)
  5. Hindi vowels (name anything starting from that vowel)
  6. Counting: 1 to 50 (oral)

Outline for Kaveri 1 Final exam:

  1. Barakhadi for all consonants

Outline for Narmada 1/2 Final exam:
Namaste
We are approaching the end of HARI school year. We have one more class next week and then exam the week after .
For exam kids will read a paragraph from chapter 10 of Rhimjhim, Mitha Sarangi. They should be familiar with whole lesson and I will ask for any paragraph to be read and translated. We will also do numbers, dus , bees, tees…etc. Quiz words from last three quizzes if time permits.
I will send pdf of lesson and excel with numbers .

We will be following full guidelines and request everyone to have a mask just for extra safety. There will be a few exciting games, a graduation ceremony, and other activities. Please join us to appreciate and recognize the learning of our students. The program will start at 11:00 am with the following schedule.

Games: 11:00 am to 11:30 am

Graduation & Prizes: 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

Pizza & Snacks: 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm

Cleanup: 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm

2020-2021 Midterm Exam Outline

2020-2021 Academic Year’s Midterm Exam is on December 20th.

Here is the outline for the exam for different classes.
Outline for Gomti  Midterm exam:

  • We will cover colors, fruits, vegetables.
  • Counting 1 to 25 in Hindi.
  • Common sentences (In text book page no.27&28) weekdays and one poem Aaloo kachalu (page no.29 in text book).

Outline for Kaveri Midterm exam:

  • Write hindi akshar.
  • I’ll give dictation of random 10 hindi letters
  • Write bara khadi.
  • Read text shown during the exam.

Outline for Narmada Midterm exam:

  • Kids should read Gulgul and Kuturmutur.
  • For exam they will read 3 to 4 lines from the text.
  • Numbers 50 to 60 in Hindi .
  • We have practiced that and will go over it again on 13th.
  • For vocabulary kids should revise last 3 weeks quiz words.
    No written component in this exam .

Outline for Krishna Midterm exam:

  • Read a paragraph from the given page.
  • Dictation, write the dictated words and sentences.
  • Speak 5 sentences, conversation in hindi.
  • Counting in hindi upto 50.
  • Tell the corresponding female word of a given male word, e.g. dada, dadi.
